# Quick Guide An AkashicLink account is necessary to use the services of AkashicPay, in this guide we will walk you through the process of installing AkashicLink, creating or import an account and integrating it with AkashicPay. ## Creating an AkashicPay Account
## Video Guide {% embed url="" %} ## Install AkashicLink If you don't have AkashicLink installed, your first step would have to install AkashicLink through the Chrome Store. 1. Simply visit [www.akashiclink.com](https://www.akashiclink.com), click on the download button indicated by the blue arrow.
2. This will direct you to the Chrome Web Store, where you can click "Add to Chrome" to add the extension to your browser.

| Begin by reviewing our Terms of Use. After reading and agreeing to the terms, check the box, and then you'll be presented with two options: 1. Create your Account 2. Import Account **Create your Account**: Creating an Akashic Account that store, send, and receive digital assets. During this setup, a private key and seed phrase is generated, serving as the user's unique access to the account. It's crucial to follow the designated steps carefully, ensuring the safety and confidentiality of the cryptographic keys, which are fundamental for managing and safeguarding one's cryptocurrency holdings. **Import Account**: Importing a previous AkashicLink Account - the process of bringing an existing account's information, private keys or seed phrases, into a new account. This can be done for various reasons, including transitioning to a more secure account or accessing funds from a different device. It's essential to exercise caution and adhere to security best practices during the import process to safeguard the integrity of the cryptocurrency holdings. ## Create your Account 1. Upon selecting "Create your Account," you will be directed to a page where you need to create your password. This step is crucial for ensuring the security and authenticity of your account. Once you input your password, you will progress to the next step. In the subsequent step, users are required to record a 12-word Secret Recovery Phrase for the newly created account. You now have the option to either write down the 12 words in a secure location or utilize the "Copy to clipboard" button for convenience. While the copy function is provided for ease of use, we highly recommend users manually jot down the phrases for enhanced security. 5. After memorisation, you will encounter the following page, prompting you to enter the missing Recovery Phrases to finalise your account setup. | 6. Fantastic! Your account setup is now finished. A quick reminder: AkashicLink cannot recover your Secret Recovery Phrases once lost, and it will never request for your Secret Recovery Phrase. Do not share your Secret Recovery Phrase with anyone. Once you acknowledge these conditions, simply press "Got it!" to proceed. ## Import Account If you already have a pre-existing AkashicLink, you can import it here. | In here, 2 options are presented to you, you can choose either to enter: 1. KeyPair 2. 12-Word Recovery Phrase KeyPair: the KeyPair is the private key that is unique to every account address. The private key is a secret, alphanumeric string that allows the owner of the account to access and control the funds associated with the corresponding public address. While the public address (often referred to as a public key) is shared with others to receive funds, the private key must be kept confidential. Access to the private key grants control over the associated cryptocurrency, so it is crucial to keep it secure and private. We'll address the location of this KeyPair later in the account. 12-Word Recovery Phrase: This comprises a distinctive 12-word recovery phrase provided during the initial account creation. As emphasized earlier, access to these phrases is a one-time occurrence, confined to the account's creation. If you don't possess these phrases, the KeyPair can be utilized as an alternative. KeyPair 1. After opting for the KeyPair choice, the initial action is to input your KeyPair, a sequence of 64 characters. ## Visit AkashicPay.com 1. Just go to [https://www.akashicpay.com](https://akashicpay.com) and click "Login" as indicated by the red arrow. This will take you to the login pop-up.
2. As mentioned earlier, an AkashicLink account is required to use the services of AkashicPay. On this modal, you'll see two options: 1. Login with AkashicLink 2. View Transactions We'll start by guiding you through the onboarding process with "Login with AkashicLink", and then we'll cover the View Transactions feature afterward.
## Onboarding Click "Login with AkashicLink" on the left to begin your onboarding process. This will prompt a pop-up that will allow you to sign in with your existing Akashic Account.
1. Firstly, input your password and unlock your Account 2. Give permission for AkashicPay to verify that you own the Account
3. Click "Accept and Sign" on the new prompt. This action will onboard your AkashicLink account for AkashicPay services, and the new fees associated with this account will also be applied.
4. Sign the signature request in the next pop-up, to confirm this action within the Account.
5. Once all these steps are completed, you can head over to the [Getting Started](https://docs.akashicpay.com/sdk/getting-started-with-sdk). Here we will show you what is required setting up the AkashicPay SDK to be used in your codebase.
6. Follow the steps above, then navigate to the Developers page in AkashicPay and locate the "Generate API/SDK KeyPair" section. First, you will have to generate a API/SDK KeyPair to integrate with our AkashicPay SDK or SecureAPI. Be aware that this API/SDK KeyPair will only be shown once, so please make sure you keep it somwhere safe. > This API/SDK KeyPair is recommended to be used for the integration of our AkashicPay SDK or SecureAPI. We do not recommend using your Owner KeyPair (which was created when you created an account with AkashicLink) to integrate with as this is not changeable and could result in your loss of funds if given to an untrusted developer!
7. After successfully generating your API/SDK KeyPair, navigate to the Callback Settings section. Within the Callback URL area, click on "+ Add URL." Input your Callback URL, select the events and currencies for which you wish to receive callbacks, and then click "Add Callback" to save your preferences. Ensure all settings are configured correctly before proceeding.
8. Give this API/SDK KeyPair to your trusted developers and have them head over to the Getting Started document and integrate our AkashicPay [SDK](https://docs.akashicpay.com/sdk/getting-started-with-sdk) or [SecureAPI](https://docs.akashicpay.com/secureapi/getting-started-with-secureapi). Once you've completed this setup, you'll be fully equipped to utilize all the features and services offered by AkashicPay!
